TrivistaUSA Design + Build is interviewing for a full time, creative, talented and energetic professional Interior Designer with product selection expertise in the residential market. We specialize in award-winning, high-end residential remodeling and are located in Arlington, Virginia. We pride ourselves on having a fun environment with team members that really care about each other and the clients that we work for.

 

The successful candidate will provide design team leadership in all project phases from initial concept, through development and to completion, with best practice documentation of interior spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

• Work with our design & production team to develop creative design solutions

• Research concepts and materials to support the team on technical issues influencing concept development

• Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion

• Conduct on-site observations and provide recommendations to help streamline ongoing design projects

• Prepare, lead and participate in client presentations

• Select materials, decor and finishes while keeping within budget

QUALIFICATIONS

​

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline

• 5+ years’ relevant interior design experience

• Proficiency selecting fixtures, finishes, and equipment for mostly residential and mix-used projects.

• Experience with space planning, FF&E specifications, material selections, and codes

• Demonstrated understanding of basic principles of space planning

• Able to develop, execute and present extremely creative design concepts

• Strong detail orientation, self-disciplined, creative and confident, problem-solving and job coordination skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google sheets

• ArchiCad or Chief Architect proficiency required

• LEED accreditation an asset

• NCIDQ or other design association accreditation required

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
