Amy Sung
Project Coordinator
Amy's journey into design and construction is quite unique, shaped by her upbringing in Taipei, her teenage years in Miami—where she mastered ordering food in Spanish—and her dual degrees in Architecture and Construction Management from the University of Florida. She launched her career in project management at the global firm Bovis Lend Lease, contributing to prominent projects such as Westpost at National Landing and Loudoun Hospital's medical offices. Later, she transitioned to residential work, where she now focuses on integrating design with everyday living.
What truly sets Amy apart isn’t just her technical background, but her curiosity about people. She believes great design begins with listening–really listening–and understanding not only what people want from their spaces, but why they want it. She brings a strong interest in human psychology to her work, using it to guide designs that foster growth, comfort, and connection.
At home, Amy experiments with design in her ever-evolving cottage home (her “laboratory,” as she calls it), nestled among historic homes and century-old trees. Life there is filled with character: several grown-and-flown kids who pop back in from time to time, a few cats, and a very vocal lovebird named Auggie. Past side projects have even included a chicken coop with silkies on rotation. When she’s not coordinating projects or reimagining her own home, you’ll likely find her refreshing the hummingbird feeder or plotting ways to entice her kids into one more family hangout.
