Fall is here—leaves are turning, pumpkin patches are calling, and for one family, it was the perfect season to reimagine their first floor into the dream kitchen and dining space they’d been waiting for.
Creating a Layout That Works for How They Live
This couple—and their 10-month-old Bernadoodle—wanted a home that worked for how they really live. Their galley kitchen was closed off, dark, and far too cramped for two people who both love to be in the kitchen. The only seating was a small breakfast nook for two, hardly enough for everyday family life. One enjoys cooking, the other baking—and let’s just say the counter space wasn't big enough for the Great British Bake Off and Top Chef to happen simultaneously.
Previously, a large wall separated the kitchen from the living room.

To solve it, we removed two dividing walls, creating an open main level where the kitchen, dining, and living areas now flow together. With the kitchen at the center, the new layout makes everyday life easier and sets the stage for effortless entertaining.
The heart of the home just got a little more room to beat.

All-new cabinetry, fixtures, and appliances anchor the kitchen in a warm palette that feels both modern and timeless. A long island now provides the generous prep space this couple needed—plenty of room for cooking, baking, or gathering with friends.
More counter, more creativity—our kitchen finally has room to breathe.

A glossy backsplash brings depth and light, while custom shelving around the range blends storage with display, adding a personal touch that keeps the space functional without losing its charm.
Checkered pots, copper hints, and all the autumn feels in one little nook.

Dining Room: From Ordinary to Entertaining-Ready
Before, the dining room had no real circulation and almost no reason to stick around—closed off from the kitchen, dimly lit, and more of a pass-through than a place to gather. By removing a wall, we finally gave the room some breathing room (literally). Now, it’s entertaining-ready: bright, welcoming, and designed with purpose.
The dining room used to say ‘sit still’—not exactly party-ready.

More space, more character, more room to linger.

A custom bar with green cabinetry adds both style and function, featuring an appliance garage to the left and a pantry to the right for smart storage solutions. The Crate & Barrel Venation Neutral wallpaper brings texture and warmth to the space. The new bar area makes entertaining effortless—perfect for casual drinks, family gatherings, or holiday celebrations.
