More space, more light, and plenty of room to gather! This home addition gave a family of three the extra breathing room they needed while staying true to the character of their home.

Previously, the living and dining areas felt small and dim, making it difficult to comfortably host friends and family. By expanding the home’s footprint, we created brighter, more spacious gathering areas with improved flow. The new layout also finally made room for the homeowners’ cherished antique dining set that had been waiting in storage! Upstairs, the transformation continued with a dedicated primary suite featuring a larger bedroom, improved bathroom, and additional storage, creating a comfortable and private retreat.

Inspired by American Arts & Crafts design and the homeowners’ collection of traditional Stickley furniture, thoughtful details were incorporated throughout, including an applied ceiling treatment, custom fireplace mantel, and handmade Rookwood tile. The result is an addition that feels like it has always belonged, just with more space, function, and personality!
